PROGRAMS

HIGH ROAD Services Society is dedicated to addressing the complex social challenges that affect individuals and families in our communities.

Through our evidence-informed programs and collaborative partnerships, we strive to make a lasting impact - supporting people in achieving their goals, strengthening community connections, and improving overall quality of life.

Residential

Our Residential Programs provide 24-hour support services for individuals who require ongoing assistance and care, including those with complex needs. HIGH ROAD Services Society is committed to offering a safe, inclusive, and comfortable living environment where each person
is supported to achieve their goals, enhance their independence, and thrive in their daily life.

Supported Employment

Our Supported Employment Program helps individuals strengthen their connections within the community by achieving meaningful, sustainable employment. Guided by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to work, Supported Employment Facilitators partner with individuals to develop personalized vocational plans, build essential job skills, explore the local job market, and provide ongoing support to maintain employment success.

Supported Employment Facilitators are committed to finding the right job that matches each person’s skills, interests, and goals - fostering long-term satisfaction and inclusion in the workplace.

Community Outreach

Our Outreach Programs support individuals who live independently in their own homes or apartments by helping them strengthen essential daily living skills and achieve improved self-sufficiency.

We offer a broad range of personalized supports designed to promote independence and empower individuals to fully engage in their communities. Our goal is to enhance each person’s quality of life while fostering meaningful community connections.

Community Inclusion

Our Self-Help Program is designed to support individuals in developing and strengthening personal, social, and vocational skills that promote independence. Each support plan is tailored to the unique goals, strengths, and needs of the individual, ensuring that services are person-centered and empowering.

Activities may include life skills training, social development opportunities, and skill-building experiences that enhance confidence, self-advocacy, and community inclusion. Through these individualized supports, we strive to help each person achieve greater independence and quality of life.

Home Share

Open your home, Open your heart

Home Sharing offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference by welcoming an individual into your home and supporting them in their daily life within a caring, inclusive environment.

At High Road Services Society, our Home Share arrangements reflect our core values of transparency, integrity, respect, inclusiveness, and a person-centered approach. Each home is carefully matched to ensure compatibility, safety, and mutual respect between the individual and the host family.

Through collaboration and ongoing support, Home Sharing promotes independence, belonging, and community inclusion - creating a nurturing home environment where individuals can thrive and build lasting relationships.

Hangar

The Hangar is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 1:00pm, and offers a welcoming space where individuals from all our programs can come together to learn, grow, and connect.

Each day features a fun and meaningful activity designed to build confidence, strengthen life skills, and encourage community participation. From creative projects to skill-building sessions and social events, the Hangar provides opportunities for everyone to explore their interests and develop meaningful connections.

More than just a program space, The Hangar is a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where individuals are empowered to build independence, develop new skills, and experience a true sense of belonging.

iKitchen

iKitchen, short for Innovation Kitchen, is a vibrant social enterprise dedicated to preparing pre-portioned, nutritious frozen meals for our community. Each meal is thoughtfully crafted using fresh, high-quality ingredients to support healthy eating and make mealtime easy and convenient.

What makes iKitchen truly special is the people behind it. Our meals are prepared each week by adults with developmental disabilities who work and learn in a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages personal growth, skill development, and independence. Through this meaningful employment, team members gain valuable work experience, build confidence, and take pride in contributing to their community.

iKitchen is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 3:50pm, and is closed on weekends and statutory holidays.
