Interested in sharing your time and skills? Volunteers play an important role in enriching our programs and community connections. To ensure the safety of those we support, all volunteers are required to complete a Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Adult category through the CRRP.

Application Requirements

To ensure a safe and supportive environment for everyone we serve, all applicants are asked to fulfill certain requirements, including background checks and employment prerequisites. These measures help us create a workplace where both staff and clients can thrive.
Requirements:

19 years of age or older;
-
Dogwood Diploma or equivalent;
-
Valid class 5 drivers license & clear drivers abstract;
-
Clear TB Test;
-
Level 1 First Aid with CPR and/or Intermediate First Aid;

Clear Criminal Record through Provincial Criminal Records Review Program (performed by the agency upon hire)

Certificate or Diploma in Human Service Work or related field is an asset;
-
Related experience with adults with developmental disabilities is an asset;

Medical Clearance Form to ensure physical ability to carry out work duties as required
HIGH ROAD Services Society operates both union and non-union work sites. All wages are paid in accordance with the BCGEU Collective Agreement.
